H1N1 treatment covered by Etiqa Insurance

Etiqa Insurance Berhad today announced it will entertain the claims by its medical and health policy holders who are admitted to hospital for treatment of Influenza A(H1N1).

Its chief executive officer and director, Datuk Aminuddin Md Desa, said in a statement the measure would come into force immediately.

"In these difficult times, we have decided to extend the cover for the medical and health policy holders to include Influenza A(H1N1)," he said, adding that this would provide them with physical and financial protection.

Aminuddin said the additional cover for H1N1 was given to all Etiqa medical and health policy holders, including those buying the insurance plans from now on. - Bernama
